Housing Works is pleased to announce Bruce Jaqua has joined the organization as the Family Self-Sufficiency Manager. Jaqua has extensive experience in customer service, personal marketing along with public and private instruction.
The Family Self-Sufficiency program counsels eligible families in the Housing Choice Voucher program on developing and achieving personal goals. Jaqua, as program manager, works with the families to access the resources needed to meet their goals. The program has successfully graduated 128 households since 1995. A majority of those graduates have become homeowners. Today, over 50 families are participating in the program.
Jaqua is a strong advocate for personal and professional improvement through education and training. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
Housing Works, Central Oregon's regional housing authority, provides affordable housing options, from homelessness to homeownership, in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson Counties. Annually, Housing Works serves an estimated 1,600 household in the region.
